This report analyses the views of representatives of Poland’s largest trade union organisations on transnational cooperation. Above all, it attempts to identify topics and areas where the viewpoints of Polish trade unions differ visibly from those seen in the trade unions of the older EU member states.
The topics are related to industrial relations (such as dealings with transnational corporations, the definition of issues within the European social dialogue framework, the possibility of developing negotiations in transnational corporations, protection for posted workers, or the issue of social dumping). The particular philosophical or political views of the union members are not the subject of this study.
