We, about us, for you. Knowledge for the benefit of migrant organisations (My o nas dla Was. Wiedza na rzecz organizacji migranckich) is a 2-year project implemented between April 1, 2021 - March 31, 2023, from the funds of the European Economic Area under the programme “Active Citizens National Fund” by a consortium of the following organisations: the Institute of Public Affairs Foundation (Instytut Spraw Publicznych), the Culture Without Barriers Foundation (Kultury bez Granic), the Itinerant Women Foundation (Kobiety Wędrowne), WOT Foundation. The aim of the project is to provide reliable knowledge about migrant organisations currently operating in Poland, managed by and running activities for people with migration experience.

The project includes a research and advocacy component. The research component is the development of a multilingual report on the current situation of migrant organizations operating in Poland. The English version is available here

At the end of 2022, we started the next stage of the project, which involves conducting a series of interviews with stakeholders representing local governments, cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations and activists in two cities in Poland - Białystok and Słupsk. These interviews will serve as a basis for developing a strategy for the development of migrant organizations and initiatives and their inclusion into the mainstream of social and urban life. 

The last stage of the project will focus on the advocacy component. This will include activities aimed at improving the situation of migrant organizations through networking, training and dissemination of knowledge about social activities and the needs of migrant communities operating in Poland.
