The objective of the SUCCESS project is to explore and analyse cooperation models between Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers and enterprises in Europe and Africa. The project aims to identify and transfer best practices from European contexts to African settings, thereby enhancing collaboration between VET institutions and local entrepreneurs to better meet labour market needs and improve graduate employability.
Project implementers intend to:
• i) conduct an analysis of European cooperation models, including a literature review and case study analysis to identify mechanisms facilitating successful partnerships;
• ii) examine the African context, identifying structural, economic, and regulatory barriers that hinder effective collaboration in those regions;
• iii) develop and implement an adaptable cooperation framework to serve as a guide for implementing best practices and strengthening partnerships in African countries.
Project implementation period: February 2025 – November 2027.
Project activities will focus on European countries (Poland, Belgium, Italy) and partner countries in Africa, allowing for a comparison of different educational and economic systems. Planned activities include preparing national reports, conducting online surveys for African entrepreneurs, and organizing a 7-day face-to-face meeting in Douala, Cameroon, for expert exchange and feedback. Project outcomes will also include the development of learning modules, teacher training materials, and the establishment of career offices within African VET institutions.
Partners implementing the project (partnership composition):
• La Salle Foundation (LSF), Italy (Lead)
• Formac, Poland – subcontracting: Institute of Public Affairs
• ACTEC, Belgium
• CFPC La Salle - African partners
The project is co-funded by the European Union
