Russian Analysts again in Poland

In the framework of a study program for Russian analytics The Institute of Public Affairs was hosting a group of eight people from Russia. Co-organised by the Moscow based Levada Centre  the project aims to support future leaders in Russian Society by enabling exchange of experiences with Polish experts and know-how transfer in various political fields. In 2014 this is already the 9th edition of this event.

Research proposed by Russian analysts are realised under supervision of tutors providing professional support. In this edition the following members of the expert staff of The Institute of Public Affairs were tutoring: Aleksandra Niżyńska, Dominik Owczarek and Piotr Kaźmierkiewicz. While staying in Warsaw the participants took part in a training course on academic writing of policy papers under guidance of Piotr Kaźmierkiewicz and in meetings with Polish experts engaged in the field of the respective project.

Most popular topics for this edition were in the field of migration politics, prevention of corruption and discrimination as well as topics on the effective use of urban spaces as for example cycling tracks. Knowledge acquired in the course of the program will be later used to write a short policy paper. The best papers will be published on the website of The Institute of Public Affairs.
