On 16–17 March, representatives of the Institute of Public Affairs took part in a digital security workshop held in Sarajevo. The event was organised by our partner organisation, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, and brought together experts and civil society representatives.
The workshop programme focused on current challenges related to digital rights, increasing risks of surveillance, and threats faced by civil society organisations. Participants engaged with both analytical perspectives on emerging trends and practical tools designed to strengthen operational safety and digital resilience.
Key sessions addressed topics such as countering digital surveillance, secure communication practices, and risks related to spyware and targeted attacks against civil society actors. Particular emphasis was placed on a holistic approach to security, integrating digital protection with physical and organisational safety.
The workshop also provided a platform for exchange among regional experts. The practices and tools presented contribute to strengthening the digital resilience of civil society organisations, including in the context of ISP’s ongoing work.
