Debate on remote work

On 8 November, the Institute of Public Affairs and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation held a debate at the Zielna Conference Centre entitled "Remote work - near or far?".

The event was organised as part of the project "IRSmart: Industrial Relations for Smart-Workers in Smart Cities". During the event, the results of a study conducted to date on the practices of various forms of remote working in Poland in the context of the development of digital technologies, the transformations of modern labour markets, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic were presented. A panel discussion was also held among social partners on the desired shape of legal regulations concerning remote work, including, above all, the draft amendment to the Labour Code currently processed by the Sejm. The discussion was attended by Katarzyna Siemienkiewicz, an expert of the Employers of the Republic of Poland, Liwiusz Laska, an expert of the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions, and Magdalena Biejat, an MP (Lewica Razem).
