Do Ukrainians really care about European integration? How has the military conflict in Ukraine and the support delivered by the West influenced Ukrainians’ opinions on the EU and its member states? As the latest research results of the Institute of Public Affairs and the Bertelsmann Stiftung show, Ukrainians, despite the difficult political and economic situation, still support the pro-European course of their country and see in it a development opportunity. Furthermore, they expect mainly humanitarian and economic help. We invite you to the debate, during which we will together reflect how the West should react to the expectations of Ukrainian society. Experts from Ukraine, the European Commission, Poland and Germany will present and assess activities towards Ukraine up to now and reflect on necessary steps to be taken in the near future. The presented research also answers the following questions: Is the pro-European course supported by the whole society or are there any regional or age differences? What are the differences, according to Ukrainians, between closer relations with the EU or with Russia in the field of economy and the international position of their country? How do Ukrainians assess the engagement of Poland, Germany, the European Union and the United States in searching for solutions of the Russia-Ukraine conflict? The presentation and the debate will take place in Polish and in English Simultaneous translation will be provided We request registration until 12 October |
