Kacper Dziekan, PhD – historian, researcher, museum professional, educator. His doctoral dissertation examined the Russian colonization of America within cultural memory. He further developed his research on the memory of Russian imperialism and colonialism during a postdoctoral fellowship at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. For many years, he served as a coordinator of international projects at the European Solidarity Centre and was a co-creator of Port of Cultures – a multidimensional cultural institution in Mariupol (suspended since February 24, 2022). He is a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley (2019/2020), the Landecker Democracy Fellowship (2021/22), and the Museums Lab 2025. He is actively involved in educational, cultural, social, historical, and civic projects, particularly those focused on East-Central Europe. His work has been published in Nowa Europa Wschodnia, New Eastern Europe, Przegląd Bałtycki, Tygodnik Powszechny, and Forum Dialogu.
