Project: "Towards a Polish model of social economy - we are building a new Lisków"
Project supervisor: Dr. Marek Rymsza
Project coordinator: Agata Winiarska
The aim of this project is to develop a Polish model of social economy. A model strategy for mobilising local communities to create social enterprises will be developed and verified in practice. The task of the IPA in the first stage of the project (to 30 June 2005) is to create an inventory of the resources of social economy in two Polish regions and to identify local partners for the project. In June the Agreement on the Partnership for Development: the "We are Building a New Lisków" Partnership was signed, extending to 39 partners from the following regions: Biłgorajski, Ełcki, Lubelski and Nidzicki. The second stage of the project will begin in July 2005. The task of the IPA as the administrator of the project is to manage all activities of the Partnership, to disseminate the results, and to cooperate with foreign partners. The Agreement on Supranational Partnership includes three partners from Italy, Belgium and Holland. Within the framework of this project the IPA is also carrying out distinct research and expert assignments.
