The aim of the project is to identify and analyse the contrasts between two economic cultures: Eastern European and Western European. Four countries of Central-East Europe (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia) and four countries of South Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia) will take part in the project. Within the framework of the project research in three thematic areas will be conducted: the manner of government behavior, entrepreneurship and economy. The first stage of the project, relying on the study of methodology and initial empirical research, was completed by June 2005.
